ek9 acceleration


nothing like bouncing off the limiter between gears, been through many motors?
 
nope,motors dont blow like that,but trying to hold the camera and shift u can expect that.
 
Sounds well but If you were holding the camera and changing gear at the same time who was holding onto the steering wheel:nerv:
 
You must have a standard ek9 final drive going by the recent vid you posted

If you look at the video timer from when you hit vtec in 1st gear until you are just going into 5th gear its about 27 seconds

Have a look at my Vid and with a 4.78 fd and a remap from the start of vtec in 1st gear until I pull 5th gear only takes 16 seconds!

Well Duh?

He stated his mods which were mostly breather/exhaust mods ect. How can you compare his 9 to yours? You've had remap and so on....

Other than that, nice 9.

Exactly what I mean, I was simply stating the advantage of carrying out certain mods so that people can maybe make a decision on how to get a bit more out of their ek9 without doing anything too major! Both cars are still b16b with standard internals so its a good comparison between the 2

I also think that the ek9 in this thread goes well with bolt-ons and sounds great:nice:
 
yeah i kno the spec II i put that tip silencer on so is not so loud,i hate that exhaust,i believe i lose power with that on.
 
I was borned with 3 arms haha lol ,but no there is no more mods besides that,cat still on,silencer,but i ordered the de-cat,buddyclub spec III cams,valvetrain upgrade and hondata s300,lets see what i get.

Nice one :naughty: The car goes well atm but it will def go even better with those mods!! Who do you plan to get to map the s300?

Any pics of the car?
