tops out at 130 in 5th, was lifting to keep it off the limiter at 3 points

the loooooong back climb about 6 mins it only pulls 120 but i dont lift at all right up to the right hander before carousel :nice:

You seem very confident on the straights. I don't think I could be quite that sure of which corner I was coming up to, there doesn't seem to be be any marker boards or anything like that when coming to the corners where you need to get on the brakes. As far as i can tell anyway.

Karussell (sp?) looks like it want's to rip your arms off btw. Get any new squeaks and rattles on the drive back home after :lol:
 
forza motorsport/gt5 is very good to learn the corners/track and general lines.

Its not till you do the track that you really learn the altitude changes.

Cheers, takes a bit of judgement over a few laps then after that you just start braking less and later, number of corners i was just lifting and using the gradient to slow the car as brakes would have killed too much speed - same time you have to leave this quite late as letting the car coast is bad practice on track

i was taking it much faster in 3rd most the time, just the hold up i had to drop to 2nd and the diff was snatching away too, hahaha

no new squeaks, although i did wear through both of my arch liners again :lol:

Playing it on a computer game is nothing like driving it, to be honest i've never played it on a game and never will. got a good video out the rear window for a lap, gives a better idea of how up and down the track really is!!!
 
just read the whole thread, absolutely amazing, great pics and video. you guys are very lucky. ive only dreamed of laps at the ring :beer:

Games will never compare to reality no matter how advanced even with full motion sims they can't compare.

Didnt my passenger had his phone out but Here's me proving that too two passengers on the Karussell (love the responses) and no insulting my driving please I have a lot of learning to do and im taking it easy as its my second lap so im learning.

Looks like an epic trip, one that I would of like to join in 2010 if I hadn't sold my '9! :(

Steven that diff certainly looks like it wants to tango! What sort of oil temps were you hitting towards the end? I understand there must be lots of airflow on the straights, but my god them revs must be heating things up a tad!

no oil cooler, heaters on max and was seeing 118deg peak!
 
like it was said you can t compare the reality and a game but you can learn a lot on the game before putting your wheels on...

This track is awesome and so difficult but it why i like it that much :D

I will glad to see others ek on the track after the winter ;)
