I saw this car claiming to be an EK9 while browsing around a forum & thought I'd show it here. Wondering if this is a true EK9 or not. I think not personally.

Oh & they said the chassis number was "EK9B16B"

its defo not an ek9. the ek9 badge on the rear is in the wrong place i believe. its too central i think.
 
Doesnt look like a 9, the headlights and front bumper are not OEM ek9 and the ek9 interior is black not grey but it could possibly be a race-base version with headlights and a few other bits changed:nono:
 
front right panel is def not ek9 based, and i thought the type-r cover beside the radio should look more curved more to the left, although i could be talking sh1te as i didn't get mine with it! has the makings of a diy ek9 :p
 
id say not, headlights and grill mesh caught my eye first, side (type r) stickers lil low, rear sticker outta place, interior looks a tad greyish rather then black (but could be just photo quality)...i highly doubt it~~
 
Also I cant see the blue chassis plate on the front slam panel.. Picture aint the greatest but still cant see it..
 
I personally also say that this is not an EK9. The chassis code is the give away to me. But that race base CTR has me wondering though...
Thing was the guy selling it at the time was so brazen with it insisting that people check it out & then apologize when we found it to be a real CTR.
 
i reckon that could be a real one

Vin plate is in the right place, and whats to say that he hasnt swapped his EK9 interior for a EJ9 one. Or like some have said...race base
 
It even has the windy windows that a race base comes with...i think this is a race base...
 
no clock, no pass. airbag or drivers airbag. most window winders are chrome apart from r/base. type R in speedo.

Q: is that even champ white?

i want to say its not a 9 but somethings telling me its just a rough example of a moddified race base.

is the racebase not an ek9 as well ??
