This is a poor video form a very old camera phone (2006) when i was on holiday with the mrs (at the time..hense the random chat in the background) going down the kirkstone pass in my old EK3, (Skip to 1:57 and im at the top of the pass, just by the pub.... from then on its awesome downhill twisties!...the fun ends at about 6mins in) Just wish i was a better driver with my current car at the time and didnt have a bird in the car with me lol Will be going again tho, And im sure some of you will join me

yeah sounds good, definately give me a shout.

lol @ that hairpin, was my first time up there and i forgot about it nearly ploughed straight on :p, was me in the starlet by the way, my old car.

yeah i hoped it would take off well, we all have favourite roads and between us we cover the whole country so it would be good to find roads you may not know about that are fairly close! or if you fancy a roadtrip you can go further away, allways good to see more ribbons of tarmac that need exploring! :nice: Keep em coming!

would be good to get a few of us together for a drive along one of these great roads. Would make a crackin vid:nice: and would be some adrenaline rush :drive:

This is not too far from me

and there is also the Horseshoe pass which is a big hit with motorbikers when the sun is out. some good twisties and straights too.

Ive been on it loads of times and nearly all the roads around the north yorkshire dales and County durham are mostly like that, even better in my EK. Where abouts you from neil?

Bromsgrove mate so not very far from you!! Cant wait for this better weather to arrive so i can go out driving more! We need to go from worcester to leominster.... and back . mean little stretch :)

Any more???

Should have some more soon, going upto my mates in ross on the weekend and ill get the road names of some of the good'uns up there!!

(anychance of a sticky on this thread Mods??)

My all time fav is the Mountain road part of the Isle of man TT circuit (slightly restricted on ramount of roads on the island but we have a few). Where here on the island we dont have a national speed limit in these derestricted zones and as an added bonus it is changed to a one way road in the direction of the course throughout the 2 weeks of TT every year from around the 28th of may through till the 14th of june. As it has alot of bikers on throughout the day so its safer to be one way. So its a bit like having 15 mile section of the Nurburgring for 2 weeks of the year an the rest is a 2 way free for all haha.

Here my mate in his DC2 bit off the pace IMO due to the amount of traffic in the day, but you get the jist of the road. And also as you can see there are plenty of bails on the outside of most corners.

The Nant-y-garth pass is brilliant, it's all 2nd gear back to back bends.....it doesn't suit the bikes so you get it to yourself of a summer evening when the caravans have gone. Police don't go down there either, unlike the Horseshoe...

Is a great bit of road that, love the view from up top when your barrelling down into it. Shame about how policed it is though.

My Favourite is the Denigh moors(A543) side of the EVO triangle,
