GT5 = biggest failure ever created for a games console! EVER!


come on folks, do the cars sound crap like gt4 or do they should like they should? whats it drive like?
 
ek9 doesn't sound as good as it should but the rest is good. it feels like my nine but on the playstation :nice:
Only played a bit tho and not a fan of the "directing a driver" thing but so far so good
 
Not being funny but if the game play is as good as people say it is and with a steering wheel, I don't think the sound of the cars need to be spot on for it to be an amazing game. AND the idea of the game is to tune and modify cars, so what they sound like to start with is never going to be how it sounds when your done with it. So what's the point in making it super realistic sounding
 
Have we all completed the gt5 prologue? or to the point of winning the F1?

yes but, its nice to hear that big lazy v8 or the revy little 4 cylinder! something the previous game failed miserably. so going by what i've heard over the web so far it seems polyphony have made a balls of a game that people have waited 3 years for! :nono:

I agree, would it be too much to have a hint of vtec change over on these honda's in gt5:D any whale dicks in mods section?
 
Lol the ek9 sounds like a bloody rotary engine. I dont enjoy driving it as it doesnt sound right. I see were your coming from cr1s but id atleast like to hear a crossover like forza
 
no whale dicks either :( But for all the bad things...it is still a good game

:( i was tempted by the HUGE sellection of cars but if it doesn't sound/drive right i'll just stay away! :mad:

Me two but only 200/1000 have interior view :/ this kinda game needs to have interior view. Alsoo unlike forza you cant use every car in arcade mode just to have a mess around... Dont even know how to play it online

yeah I can see why your disappointed, how ever I refuse to believe they have made a hash of a game just because the cars don't sound perfect, I might have to try it through a surround sound see if that makes it different.
 
right after some video watching i've noticed that you cant even get a bonnet view, only the stupid roof view. the outside view is all weird and fixed to the rear of the car! and the damage is way off, cars going flatout into walls and barriers and only getting a scratch on the paintwork! :( so is there anything good about this game? even the psp version had an incar view and a proper outside view! :angry:
 
Ill let someone that likes it answer that... I would say ek9 but they didnt it justice in my eyes. Its crap on the game!

Personally, yes, gutted about the noises but as if that's going to ruin the game ... for me anyway ...

Never played Forza so can't comment on that. I'm sure I'll spend many many hours on GT5 as I have done all the other GT games ...
 
I'm with you Matt! I want a game to be as realistic as possible! You can here the engine note change on forza when you come on vtec and the cars change sounds when tuned! GT needs to catch up where not in the ps and ps2 days anymore and there are better games out there which are far more realistic! Forza kicks gt5's ass! Terrible attention to IMO quite important details!
 
All I'm reading is Forza is better because of engine notes ...

How is the driving compared with the 2 games?
 
I wonder what its like with a steering wheel.........

I was going to buy a PS3 and Wheel just for this game, But buy the sounds of it ill just stick to forza, which i love! Just wish it had an EK9 or at least an EK hatch!
 
I think the initial comments are a little unfair I have to say I am slightly dissapointed but not discusted.

For the record I own a 360 and play forza 3 aswell so id like to say I'm trying to be unbiased

I dont think the engine notes in GT5 are anything on Forza from what little I have played so far (its only been one full day after all) and I'm a bit dissapointed that racemods and car paint etc are much more limited than I had hoped especially compared with forza.

In terms of actual game play Forza does try to create an accurate simulation but I think that GT still SLIGHTLY beats it (this may be due to the fact that I play on my PS3 with a very good steering wheel and pedal setup something the 360 totally fails with imo i wont be buying the microsoft wheel end of.)

I am somewhat dissapointed that when you first get get on GT5 half the tracks and cars seem almost missing I managed to buy my EK9 straight off but my dreams were shattered when I couldnt immediatly have a thrash around the full Nurburgring only the GP circuit is currently availble to me Hopefully I will unlock the Nurburgring Nordschleife soon.

Neither are a bad game and if I want to drive seriously on track Ill use GT because I have the wheel and prefer the way it drives just slightly dissapointed in the damage and sound aspects.

If I want some fun and play only with my mates ill use Forza 3.

Just one last point does Forza have an EK9? No. Shouldnt be a all conquering factor but if theres something I want to pretend to drive on track this year its an EK9.
 
Gunna keep playing it today with an open mind but i wanna buy a wheel for my xbox now just havent got anywhere to put it

^^ no forza doesnt have an ek9 but i dont want to drive a ek9 on gt5 that doesnt sound like an ek9 and going by real life videos it doesnt handle like a real life ek9
