GT5 = biggest failure ever created for a games console! EVER!


The ek9 Soubds mental with the exhaust system, titanium one, amazing noise from outside, sounds more like a vtec at like 7800-9k wheb I put that on haha
 
Ha try running a 360bhp ek9 then! That sounds mental but more like a standard rx-8, which is gay. As the cars dont sound very good i wanna turn the music up as theres quite a good set of artists/songd Queens of the stone ages, caspa, sub focus.. Plenty more aswell
 
iv been on forza series 1 2 and now 3 with the 360, love it, the driving feel to me on forza is better than gt, graphics have always been on the improve each time, havent had any big delays with things being released. driving sounds are amazing, and as said as your car progressively tunes up the sounds change. a lot of attention to this and each cars actual sound.

i played my mates gt5 tonight, and being totally unbias as i too was possibly going to buy a ps3 for gt5 and metal gear solid. im not as impressed as i should be for a game thats taken something like 3 years to be released!!

yes the go karting is cool! the nascar racing is different and sound amazing, im told theres f1 cars? but didnt have too much time to explore...what i did get to see is enough to get 3 career cars. got an evo 4 and started buying the odd bit for it...have to say im not as happy as i was hoping to be with the upgrades and tuning side of things. i was expecting it to be so finely detailed that you could alter boost pressures etc, didnt find any of that, even after turbo modifications.

one thing i am very impressed with is the small fine details that forza doesnt have...the thing i have wanted and wanted with forza is the icing on the cake to exhaust bangs etc, plenty pops and bangs on forza, especially those v8 supercars, but no flame, not even a spit...the gt5 exhaust flames in the more powerful cars, nascar and race cars are amazing...not worth buying the game for obviously lol but i loved it, they are stunning, big small quick long :D the rain effects are superb too, especially in car view and how you alter low or high beam affects vision etc. i could see me buying gt5 if i had a ps3, getting so far with it and after a few weeks of good gaming getting left in the drawer under the tv

forza since day one has never really had any dry phases with me where iv not played it, even when new games have been released like cod mw2 and medal of honour, iv played them hard too, but i can still slip on forza for some battles on or offline. never really been bored of it


if i was to sum things up, i think both games are good. i still think forza has the edge on the realism to driving. theres more to do on gt5 yeah, but for a game with such a long delay on release its crying out for more i think

the perfect game in my opinion would be forzas driving, a combination of both forza and gt5 graphics, and tracks, gt5s vast different races to takepart in such as rally, karting, nascar etc, and gt5s attention to fine fussy details.

as someone who has liked modifying cars, and epecially now works in this feild, i would demand a higher amount of things to do and purchase from both games on the modifying front, games like these demand so much more from this side of the game

I have to agree with matts first post it is a big let down! I've been a big fan of all the gt games and this one is on exception! But there is a lot not right with the game. When I say not right I mean not as good as previous games. To start with it takes waaayyyy to long to load everything and there is no where near as many parts/makes! I remember old gts having hundreds wheels and makes! Anyway it is a good game. But for a game that was 3 years over due it seems rushed!
 
Matt have you been driving with the driving aids and traction control on?
Cuz I took them all off and it soooooo much better

I think the game is epic. It's just like the other GT games, I cant get off it. "One more race then I'll go to bed ..." Yeh right ...

I cant see how it's a let down though? What does the game not do that the makers said it would? Or does it not deliver to 'your' individual expectations? I have not played Forza once so I'm purely comparing this to GT4 ...
 
I never use driving aids on sim games and find its to easy in whatever car. Forza with driving aids is a lot more lary.

Hell no it didnt reach my expectation it took 6 years to make this game. It should of been perfect in my eyes. Bring on forza 4 and after xmas ill buy a wheel for my xbox. I cant bothered i type ou whats wrong with as theres to much to say
 
With all this bad press. Im sure the next update will help clear some of these flaws. im yet to play it, and i dont like the fact that you can't mod all the cars. I like forza alot, but i feel that the modifications limited, and there's alot more to be done to certain cars and other things to fettle with.

i thought the game had crashed so turned the ps3 off lol. Takes way way too long to load up sometimes.


i have to agree im dissapointed with the game. its taken so long to come out that everyone thought it would be perfect but its far from that in my oponion and you dont even get all the cars. I couldnt even find a dc2 to buy anywere. lol :mad:
 
I can agree that this game has its flaws but....

The game is FKN WICKED - love it

The physics are unreal - the cars sound a sh1t load better than previous Gran Turismo games, Honda's dont sound as good as Forza ones do but if thats all your worried about then dont buy it simples.


I love Forza and i also love GT too

Gran turismo's driving physics are really close to real life its wierd how you can tell through a game.

The DC2 will be in the used car lot not the Honda showroom
 
im pretty bored of this game already tbh. wheres the 1000bhp cars @
 
Excited about getting this game despite negative comments...

I played on Prologue quite a bit and really started getting into it - especially the drifting challenges. They were quite cool! :)

The game runs like 5x slower if you PS3 is online because they havent sorted the network properly. If you disable your online network on the PS3 while playing it the loading times are so much faster.


Plus WTF is the deal im not aloud to remove the std poo wheels off my EG6!!! Even on GT4 you could change the wheels on any car!

I think the producers spent to much time making the backgrouds fancy and probably busy playing forza 3 to be arsed to make this GT5 game complete !!!!!
 
I've read there will be a bunch of updates over the next 3 months for GT5, at least that's something to look forward to ... lol
 
I love gt5 been playing it all day, the more i play it the more i love it but i cant help but think its just an "updated" GT4! i mean theres nothing thats really new or cutting edge about it apart from the new cars. For a game to take the best parts of 6 years to make you have to think what have they actually been working on. I even busted out GT4 to see if there's any difference in the driving and to be honest its exactly the same, even the sound of the cars!

Can't help but think when Forza 4 is out its gonna piss all over GT5. Period! :dance:
 
The handling has improved IMHO cars drift in a more realistic fashion and the tyres feel more rear, in old GT games the only Tyres that let you go round a corner were racing softs but I've been using the basic tyres on my EK9 for ages until I upped the power to 225 then I felt the need to upgrade!
