is my car an import..?

Hi guys i just bought a honda civic jordan yesterday and took it to the garage to get it checked out the guy took the registration number of the car to search for the correct parts i needed, and it came up on the computer as a jap import i told the guy that jordans are not imports so he spoke to the m o t tester at the garage who pointed out to me that it is an import he said he was 100% sure it was when u open the bonnet it has been stamped with a code on the left hand side the code is YSS 07 06 A can someone check out there jordan for me and let me know if you have this on the inside of ur bonnet ..?

it depends as if the engines were made in japan they will have a japanese chassis code.
 
i still dont understand why it has a separate stamp on the left hand side of the bonnet has your jordan got it..?
 
i couldnt tell u m8 my jordan is away getting a load of work done, i will pop down to the garage 2morow and check, it is interesting but, is it the standard engine in it?or a b16b?
 
yeah m8 that would be helpfull its just a b16a2 in it standard its annoying me now lol
 
A stamp on the bonnet?? Bonnet might have come off something jap. There will be more indications as to weather its jap or not around the car.

It could be a reshell. Everything into a jap chassis
 
if the code starts with a j its japan if it starst with a c its uk michaelp from the jordan forum wikll know more bout this as it was him that told me
 
no it shouldn't be an import mate. stick up some pictures if you can. Unless its got some jap parts i have no idea as to how its coming up as a jap import. If its a jordan then its not an import
 
is your speedo in miles or kms??? if its an import it would have kms....
 
If its a full reshell then its gonna be hard to find out but start with chassis codes. Your vin plate and firewall.

Other signs like your rear lights. Do they light up like jdm ones. More little things like your number plate recess. Which side is the wiper arms on and the indicators. Jdm the wipers on left side Edm there on the right. Open your passo door and check the color code stickers. There should be a load of japanese writing there :)
 
if it was a honda garage you were at not being funny but they tend not to have a clue what they're talkin about most the time when it comes to jordans/ek9's and that
 
speedo is in mph rear lights are normal not hot double fogs like the ek9, it was a tyre and exhaust centre m8 not a honda garage, ill get some pics up shortly :)
