Well after collecting all my old photos as well as most recent ones it is finally time to start my build thread and share my project so far
In all honesty i started out on the volkswagen scene and it wasnt until the last couple of years i started to enquire about buying my honda i always like to take on a project no matter what car i got and this is exactly what i did when i bough a 97 civic ej9 in 2009 and changed it from this :
To this :
Obviously being my first start to hondas i was quite proud of the changes i made, except from the lexus lights and angel lights However it was a start
However at the end of the day it was still a 1.4 so i decided to buy myself a civic jordan which had always been a car that i had an eye for due to its history and its appearance as well as reliablitly. I had looked for ages for the right one, however as my jordan enthusiasts will know they are hard to come by nowadays in good condition with low mileage and service history. However i hit the jackpot in january 2010 when i found one with 46000 miles, fhsh, one owner and completley standard the only down point was it was 550 miles away in kent However i was willing to travel to get the right one, so thats exactly what i did so i set off at 7 with martin(mld22) and went to go and collect it. However as many will know the joys of traveling to expect a mint car and being wrongly described Although the body work wasnt great and it looked more like a moldy banana the interior was immaculate and everything was as described with the advanatage of having no signs of rust at all I had got the car back to my dads garage and set myself a list or priorties :
1. Strip car down and see extent of damage to panels and underneath
2. get car fully undersealed before respray
3. get all the panels sorted as well as back panel straightened
4. give car a full repsray
5. new discs. pads all rounf
6. Brand new service
Although all was fairly straight forward i knew after inspecting the car it was mint underneath and with some work would be a great car for only £3300
This is what the car looked like the day i started stripping it:
As you can see the car was in need of some tlc, so the work then began on the bodywork and repsray prep:
continued in next post.........
