Little White 106 GTI


Yo... Long time no speak...

So ripped the gti apart, Resulted in alot of swearing and volt metre testing, replaced crankshaft position sensor, throttle position sensor, coolant temp sensor, first turn of the key away it went...

Onto the next issue: DTA Management, boy who had it before me chucked this together like a retard, Ive removed it and sold it, Got a Omex 600 replacing it as i prefer omex, more places map it up here to

Bits aquired:

Pink TRS Strap
Flat 5 spoke MO Compomotives, Being re-done a cool colour, Dont want to give away to much
Axle repair kit, Slight play in the left side so just sort both sides while im at it, plus i want to lower it 15-20mm more as well
5 litres of black waxoyl, cant wait....
2'' Pugsport exhaust, Cant beat the rasp of a pugsport

On the hunt for r6 carbs, or might just wait till after court to start doing heavy mods, dont want to blow to much cash then be told nah you have no license

So ill put some updates soon

Sad to hear what you've been through this year mate..however once you have hit the bottom the only way is up ! :)

106 is looking mint really like those car's. Updates look excellent, can't wait to see the pics :) :nice:
 
Glad to see things are on the up for you car wise.

On the subject of the dta ecu, who did you buy the car from as there's a tuner in carlisle who's great with dta mapping.

Car actually came from carlisle lol... Beleive a garage jdmdyno or awesome something did the work, To be fair, Was not a good job, Instead of heatshrinking the wires into the 3 plug adaptor, black tape was used, wires were left soldered but bare to the elements...

Car was fine, But its like the dta unit took on water/moisture due to not being sealed, It is annoying but meh, omex 600 shouldnt be to long

Yeah thats the place jdmdyno, I've heard the guy has mapped a few civics using dta as well.
Doesn't sound like he did a good job at all on your car.
 
Update time:

Starting my new job on the 25th/26th of this month, Got accepted into the Nigg Skills Academy to do welding and fabricating so really delighted, about time i did something decent and made proper coin, so big project now :p

Flat 5 spoke MO Compomotive's, Loved these wheels for years so sold the CXR's and got these, they were pink when i bought them, so took them to my mate and got them powder coated in electric blue with silver flake

Pink TRS strap for the rear as the towing eye is bent, this will look better, and carbon fibre fog light inserts bought from streamline carbon, getting the carbon spoiler next :)

nice updates, pug 106 gtis are great, they just have such a bad name from twats doing up them really badly, when done like this they look mega. i;ll be watching this ;)

Looks good mate, my brother is building a 300hp supercharged 106, an there's one with bodies by me. Pretty god damn fast :)
 
i was next to your 9 last weekend,sadley it has been broken for parts as the chassis was streched. really sad to hear mate, i hope things pan out for you, and as for your charges all i will say is innocent untill PROVEN QUILTY, think before you say in these terms the truth will get you in deep.

on a high pug looks good these cars are pocket rockets they weigh next to nothing, if i was you tho i would get a 1.0l as having a car like that you are going to break a few speed limits and its not worth getting anymore points.

Aye exactly mate, innocent until proven guilty, First case is on the 16th of april thats for when i crashed the civic, supposidly i was driving without due care and attention... see what happens, and court again 19th of may -___-

Im not using the puglet much anyway, its out of mot and tax and is just chilling on the drive until court is over and done with... Wont be using it much at all, ill be buying a 306 turbo d later this year and the 106 will just be the project

Well what can i say its been ages since ive been on here!

And its on a positive note, Next year ill be buying another ek9 as a track/weekend toy as im in the process of moving out!

The 106 was sold 2 months ago and is now living down in York, Though alot happened to it in the time i had it from the pictures at the start of the thread

Bought different MO Comps for it and put them gold, Finally got the morettes on it and then got it all mapped up with the baker bm engine mounts and alot of carbon fibre lol, it was fun but just temperamental
















Onwards and upwards they say but another project done and dusted lol
