mfactory 4.7 final drive

hi i have a 96 typer gear box with 4.4 final drive and was wondering if to get this mfactory final drive into it or get the 99 type r gear box ,which would be bbest
 
96 spec with aftermarket 4.7 fd

or

98 spec with 96 spec 4th and 5th gears.

is IMO the best bseries box combination
 
If I was you, I'll choose the one thats cheaper, some users prefer OEM honda parts instread of aftermarket parts, but mfactory parts are quality parts :D
 
i am trying to find out the best combanation for my car,so is the 96 box with the m factory 4.7 the best combo
 
This is the setup i will be goining for as im in the isle of man so i dont really need a super high top speed and there are no motorways to be bothers about Cruise mpg.

4.785 in the 96 box. And im also doin the syncros while im there. May aswell while it all out and in bits.

All really depends what you'l be using it for??. Im not much or a fan of the 98spec box but you maybe doing alot of motor way miles and want those higher top gears.
 
does some of you already put the 4.9 final drive into 98spec ? what is the average speed by gear at 9000rpm ? would be helpfull ;)
 
i was going to fit a FD. until the gearbox place told me it was £50 an hour and would take 7 hrs!!!
