No compromise Supercharged ek9 build

WOW! I love your attention to detail on EVERYTHING!! You do love your brands but honestly mate they are class parts you have and your car is my fav on the forum! :)

Get yourself to Henry Roy in Irvine to get it mapped! He is the man! :)

cheers man. Much appreciated :) aye its going after the holidays to henry roy mate.

Epic updates as usual, my computer ages to load all them pics lol, good reading though!!

cheers cartney. lol my computer crashed few times whilst uploading them too. you got everything sorted with the jordan then?

i dont have a turbo b16, i was talkin about you and wishy:)

aye i know mate, was just saying it would be cool to meet up with some of you guys. Hopefully once the weather gets abit warmer :)

wow got hooked with every word. amazing how much time and money. nice to see it all together and done right. good job

Not much has been happening due to the weather and various stuff getting lost in the post has halted things but did whatever small jobs i could.

Finally got round to changing the bushes on my lower control arms.

When i repainted my rocker cover in the summer i never replaced the gasket so i picked a new one up a couple of days ago and fitted it.

New gasket on and everything fitted back up

Also picked up a new set of honda jazz washer jets as the ek9 ones are awful.

Out with the old ones

Also got hold of a rear spoon strut brace but i have decided to keep the miracle cross bar instead. The spoon strut brace is very light though, much lighter than the miracle cross bar but i love the cross bar and its pretty rare so getting hold of another one will be difficult.

Was hoping to fit the spoon brakes this week. I ordered 3 bottles of motul rbf 600 brake fluid and only 2 bottles turned up so i was pretty disappointed as it means that i wont be able to fit them till after the new year. For 3 bottles i was just under £50 delivered but it was highly recommended and its meant to be very good stuff so looking forward to getting the calipers and lines on, bled and see how much of a difference it makes. Pads and discs will probably be changed nearer mot time as there is still some life left in them.

Also ordered some hel braided lines to go with.

Picked up an aem hydro shield as the the aem intake i have positions the filter down infront of the wheel arch meaning that if you go through a large puddle the filter will suck water into the engine(hydro lock). This hydro shield is meant to cover the filter and protect it from hydro lock.

Spa fual gauge also arrived but have different plans now. Thinking about a digital dash instead.

Photo3312.jpg

Photo3312-1.jpg

Digital dash, will be ordered once i know which management im going with for definate. As far as i know its plug and play with dta and no hard wiring is needed as it reads everything from the ecu.

Got this hondata inlet heat shielda while ago. Meant to lower intake temps a fair bit

Also finally fitted the steering wheel/hub set up. fairly straight forward apart from rewiring the horn was abit of a faf. still waiting on a resisitor to turn the srs light out.

The steering wheel sits much closer to the driver with teh combination of the momo hub and quick release. Should make for a good driving position with the recaro pro racer seat once the rails are here.

Lock on so another steering wheel cant be put on.

Photo3398.jpg

Got this to turn off the srs light. just waiting on a resistor for it.

Photo3401.jpg

As for seats im still waiting on lowered recaro subframes. Wont be here till after new year though so currently have no seats. I bought a tommi makinen edition recaro seat for the passenger. that has been in transit for the last 3 weeks. Its a bloody joke tbh and im getting pretty pissed off with the city link.

Was tempted to stick the seat in just to see what it would look like so rolled the car out of the garage and mock fitted the seat. Also glad i went for the snap off steering wheel as it makes getting in and out of the seat alot easier.

damn bro nice work ...love dat ek9. make me hela jealous cos we n U.S. dont have real ctr in production. btw where did u find the recaro floor mats??? looks dope bro

wow this really is the meaning of no comprimise.
nothing you have done is **** everything is spot on mate.

enjoy your hard work.
wow just wow

Good updates! The car will feel like a racecar with the new seat, lower positon and the new wheel:nerv:

Brakes are class aswell

Have you decided what engine you are going for yet?

Thanks again for the comments :). Yeh spek9 seat feels really nice to sit in and as you say with it being lower and the steering wheel sitting closer will feel like a hardcore racer lol. Down the line will hopefully be a race digital dash, straight cut gears, cage and semi slick tyres so it will be more track orientated really. Im in no rush though and will be taking everything at a steady pace.

As for engine, well the hasport k20 conversion mounts arrived yesterday but im still not sure if im going to go ahead with the conversion in the 9 anyway. Thought about buying an eg shell and sticking a k20/24 in that and using that as a track car instead but still not 100% sure as its alot of money for comit to one project. Only thing i dont want to do is start the conversion and lose interest or run out of money half way through so really still wanting to keep my options open right now. Also getting more advanced into my course at uni means that i have less time to myself and summer holidays get shorter and shorter so have to consider that into the equation aswell.

Hopefully fitting my b pipe and decat tomorrow if i can get my heater in the garage to work as bloody freezing.

Also b18c3ek, the mats were one of the first things i bought but as far as i can remember they were from a website that makes custom mats. think it was called custom mats or something like that.

this is prob the one of the best threads i have read, good step by step pictures and description and it shows how much dedication people have for their cars and hours they put into.
And the car is excellent quality standard which shows
keep up the good work and hope your plans for the car go smooth

wow took awhile to read through the first couple pages, nice build :)

Seat is really cool!!!

You planning on coming along to Knockhill next year at all? Be good to see another EK9 on track :secret:

If you are on honda-tech.com, try and PM AirbagClub (no doubt seen pics of his car, registration GRIP HRD) about the digi dash setup, he runs one in his EK civic, sure he could give you a bit of advice on how to wire it up proper :nice:

or nwp4life since no one cool goes on hondatech anymore haha.

Very nice stuff. I would ditch the coloured cable ties though, they let it down a bit.
