No compromise Supercharged ek9 build

amazing updates mate, car is looking ace! Was speaking to Wayne at Honda the other day about your car. Maybe not a good idea to have put a pic of your address up on the forum tho, you never know who could be on the forum, just a heads up dude!

Those Tein Coilovers were royally shagged tho eh, i hate rust with a passion!! :(

cheers man. Aye wayne is a nice lad. Shame he is banned from driving atm but glad he is still going to the dundee meet. Thanks for the heads up mate but that is my term time address and im moving flat in a few days so not that fussed about that. Aye was surprised at the top mounts falling apart but rust kills ev everything it gets to.

Great work on this car mate very proper parts cant go wrong with quality parts. Love how you clean everything up instead of just slapping it on

Cheers man. Love working on a clean car so try to keep things as clean as possible.

Forgot to post up these pics. This was after i put everything on and dropped the car off the stands. Sits abit lower now. dampening on full hard is pretty crazy on them. half way seems reasonable but im yet to test them properly so will wait until the fronts are on to test them out.

Started Raining and getting a bit dark so moved the car into the garage and started fitting the spoon brakes

The old brake lines wouldn't come off despite trying every tool i had so will have to get them taken off at a garage. In the meantime i decided to fit the new calipers anyway using the old brake lines for the now.

Started on the other side

Then connected the brake line up. Going to rebuild the rear calipers soon so will bleed the whole system when thats done and when the braided lines are on.

Gave the arches and wheels a wash. They were in pretty good nick as the car hasnt been driven in the the wet since it was undersealed in the summer so a quick wash was good enough.

Then put the wheels back on and dropped it off the jack. Think the car sits well and the spacers have brought the reggas out nicely. Love the look of the blue spoon calipers against the white reggas. The 6mm spacers are on as a temp measure. will be getting arp extended studs soon.

Brakes are very nice :nice: The braided lines don't actually improve your stopping distance they just improve pedal feel

Looks well lowered on the new coilovers with the spacers at the front!

6mm is alot of spacer on standard studs! get some arp studs asap please. i've seen what happens to cars that risk it and it aint pretty! car is looking sweet keep up the good work!

is it possible to do the stoppie with that calipers? :D

Love the details mate. Great work.

Thanks for the comments guys.

what?

all he did was clean his wheels.

What she said.

cheers mate yeh the braided lines probably wont make a massive difference but since i have got them i might as well fit them now.

cheers, Yeh i know bud i wont be driving it like that. Longer studs and hubcentric spacers are on the list before its back on the road. Those spacers were a temp measure to make the wheels clear the calipers.

As for seats im still waiting on lowered recaro subframes. Wont be here till after new year though so currently have no seats. I bought a tommi makinen edition recaro seat for the passenger. that has been in transit for the last 3 weeks. Its a bloody joke tbh and im getting pretty pissed off with the city link.

I was looking to get the same rails for my teg. Where did you order them? I contacted recaro.co.uk and capitalseating but they said they didn't have any left as "the dc2 is such an old car".

i have the EP3 drivers red recaro and spoon gearknob too. It's approx 35grams :)

Your build is awesome. All the right parts :)

ARP studs arrived today.

D1 spec open ended wheel nuts. They are forged so should be good enough for the road and track but ordered a set steel nuts aswell for the Nurburgring trip.

Hopefully get them fitted in the weekend along with the diffuser, bleed the brakes and replace the rear trailing arm bushes.

Awesome car! I read your build thread awhile back and I dont remember how much boost your running? and how much whp did your car make? I am going to bolt up my jrsc soon and take it in for a tune cant wait :D

careful with them D1 nuts

heard of them stripping the thread clean off on the inside
