Like any trend, it's catching on:

I don't agree with the fact that people are now seeing it as 'trendy' and applying it to cars that are so far away from the scene, but such is the nature of society and people in general.
But to the people slating the look in itself (see above), don't forget that it arose from a scene of enthusiasts not so dissimilar to ourselves. After all, I bet the guys in that scene cannot understand what we find so appealing about Type-R's.
I'm actually quite surprised at the hate going on in this thread, would've thought as a bunch of enthusiasts you'd be a little more open minded than that. Not to say I don't understand people not liking it, it's just the hostility that I disagree with.
