Stripped out look!!!

For myself i left them in so i can tie my drums down as i carry them about alot and they slide about but the belts hold them secure.... also it means the seats can go back in very quickly if they need to... :nice:

Fair enough.

ive left my belts in but not the buckes, only a 2 minute job to put the buckles back on

It only takes 2 mins to remove the belts fully.

Wait, stripped out is now a look?

I was under the impression you strip a car to make it lighter, thus making it faster round a track haha

Lol thats what I was thinking.

I persoanlly wouldn't say its a "look" it just so happens to be that function over form often gives uperior Form

i did mine for absolute function:

loading/carrying stuff ( yes my EK9 is a work horse also ;) )
Weight saving for : Speed. Power/weight ratio increase and also as i use mine as a daily it helps to save on fuel..

Win Win really as it does look cool, but i think thats only because it has the essence of a race car and feels more racey, and race car's are cool ( obviously ) so yeah best of both worlds if you ask me.

Think i miss understood what you meant by stripped out look....

But seriously it is surely done in most cases to save weight over anything else, if its for the stripped out 'look' then you have issues.

Heres mine to join in with the rest of the pics :)

Yes custom cages, but i made up and added the b piller gussets...., and the frog.

Cage was £833 delievered, but i got it through a friends company, so dont know how much it is straight from custom cages. Its in my rally car so wanted a proper cage.

doing it properly

no partial stripping

this car is used DAILY

p.s its been tidied up recently :)

i don't understand people who have harness bars on their cage yet still mount the harnesses off the floor

Am I the only one who thinks imitation cages look rubbish?

No your not....

And harnesses are still mounted to the floor as im 6'6 so too tall for the seat, so if mounted on the cage the harness has to 'kink' as they go over my shoulders, down through the seat then back to the cage, and i wasnt happy with that.
