What happens when you have 350bhp


holy hell mate, seriously luck guy !! Stunning car as well ! :bow:
 
your dad is 1 very lucky man to have walked away from that. i dont think ive ever seen a car looking that bad after a crash

Nothing special unfortunately! Dad had to pay for the fence which was wrecked which was like 5k or something, even though my dad claimed he went over it :/ and every since my family has went down money wise. He's had normal mondeo's and a mondeo ST, then bought my gran's mercedes off her as she got a new civic hybrid :D I think my dad's getting too old for the car scene, hopefully my turn soon ;)

holy **** mate thats a real ba donel. i can relate to this in a way, not the crash but the fact boys who reckon they can get in a car with an insane amount of power, in this case the evo and push it to its limits without learnign thow to handle and drive with that amount of bhp. i used to own a evo 9 fq-340 and like your dad it was my pride and joy, one night i was going home and decided to give it the beans, bear in mind i have been driving a lot of fast cars from a young age with my dad so i wasnt some boy racer haha but when going round a corner the back end kicked out and luckily enough nothing came round the bend or i would have been wiped out. Just goes to show seeing something like this makes you think and take ur time when u drive

Haha kinda like me then, i love fast cars but i'm not a boy racer! I grew up from a background of cars as my uncle has had various b16's and even a vortech supercharged b16 but never really sat in that one :(( on the other hand my dads had a 400bhp subaru, three evo 7's and the evo 8! (Haha three evo 7's cause he wanted another colour :lol:) Offtt glad your okay mate! That happened to me 2 weeks ago in my ek3 :nerv: No idea how it happened either, was a big bend and i was going about 50, and my car spun out.. Wasn't that fast as it was a 70 road! Lucky it was one lane and no oncomming cars or i'd be wiped out too, and lucky no cars were behind. Just shows you doesn't matter how well you know a road, like you said you need to take your time since **** happens! :/
 
im glad your dad is ok mate, thats a big wreak which makes it hard to believe he was only doing 60mph....i think he's keeping it quite what speed he was doing lol but after owning 2 evos and growed up with performance cars as my uncle was an importer of jap cars i no these cars stick to the road so unless it was the tyres that made him crash but still, 60mph and bad tyres couldnt result in the way that evo ended up, just imo...
 
Jeeez thats mental. Glad your dad was ok, he's lucky to have survived that. I've always been a fan of these Evo's :nice:
 
OOO nasty looking incident there, as previously said. lucky your day was unharmed. could have been much worse. Got to remember what can happen when driving, something can catch you off gaurd, even if our not fooling about.

Couldn't agree more guys, even i find that bull haha.. Thats quite handy having someone in the family importing jap cars! ;) Guess we'll never know the truth lol :/

Forget the car ! Your dad must have a angel watching him. Glad he's ok ;)
 
How many points did he get for having bald tyres? If you own a car like this it needs to be respected and looked after, tyres are the first things that should be checked! Glad he's alright and didnt hurt anyone else.
