which is the fastest ek9 or b20vtec


To put into perspective my b20 makes more power at 2500rpm than an ek9 does at ANY rpm.

What? So your b20 makes 180+bhp at 2500 rpm, I think not

I dont know why some people have to be cocky and bully someone if they ask a question slightly wrong! How are you meant to learn if you can ask questions especially when people give you stupid answers! Besides i think every one who has posted actuall understood the quesion!

No, I didn't. He said "a stock EK9 built" which is a complete contradiction. A stock EK9 is 182bhp, a 'built' one could be over 200bhp. A 200bhp B16B vs a 200bhp B20, there probably wouldn't be a great deal in it after the initial launch.

Yes, far cheaper than a K20 swap, but not just a crv block tho,for mine i got, Goldeneagle conversion kit, arp head kit, endyn pcv system, skunk2 megapower R and Hondata S300.

Only 200hp?! Is that at the wheels or flywheel? What is your full setup?
Im going to build a b20v soon but if its around 200 then its no point bcos my b18c6 is 208 untuned.
 
200hp at the fly, jus got manifold, exhaust, filter and hondata. Prob could have made a bit more with injectors. It's the torque that's the winner with B20.

Got to remember its a low compression engine compared to a type-r engine, if your chasing power on b20 then go with hi comp pistons
 
I got a fully built B20V built by BWR and everything high compression and i must say it pulls hard i broke the driver side motor mount rate off the frame too where its connected and i should be getting dyno this weekend im pretty excited too see the number Hp should be atleast in the 300 Torque is a mystery im cant wait too find out but all n all B20 will take it off the line on a straight its just a amazing swap
