hi im looking to see wat insurance companys are good for ctr in ireland
I was with Hibernian for 4 years on an SiR, bought an itr, they quoted me â¬2000 3rd party, fire and theft. Wouldn't even quote me fully comp, been with them 4 years, 28, 10 years full licence, 5 years ncb.
Girlfriend changed to 123.ie, so I said I'd give them a shot, â¬930 Fully Comp , they do have a clause about modifications which is a little bit worrying, but hey most ppl in Eire just have insurance for the disc in the window and don't actually claim
Just renewed my insurance with quinn direct last week fot 1300 fully comp under my ol lad and im 21. I wanted to go with 123.ie but they changed their underwrighter a fortnight ago to the best of my knowledge and wont insure ctr any more??
If someonre knows better let me no!!
I was well pissed as i had got a quote off them for 1066 euro but when it came to it monday they wouldnt honour it???
Was shopping around with every other insurance company in the country but know one will offer a new business quote on a ctr? Even quinn wont offer me insurance on my own and the cars insured with them under my father? Sickening is about all you describe it as. The main problem is that its an imported car, thats what FBD said to name a few.
An even at that if you have more than three undeclared mods on your car your insurance is null and void! Expensive small piece on paper in the windscreen is about it
Quinn-direct is probably the best bet and the online quote is handy!
Although I payed 3000 for my first year of insurance and 2000 the second year (On a 1.4 civic) they seem to be the cheapest.
Apperently I live in the most expensive county in Ireland for insurance.(Longford)
Quinn will probably work out the cheapest for you tho
123.ie, just log on and save money! lol seriously unreal for insurance
I found quinn as the cheapest, in my forth year with them now... I was 20 when I got my ITR... I found that if you act like you have bought the car already, and kick up a fuss if they start talking about needing to be 25, they will eventually give you a quote..
I asked to speak to a manager and complained that my mate had a WRX which had more power and he was only 23...
As far as I know, it is illegal for them to refuse you a quote, especially if you are already insured with that company...
Hope this helps
