Well as some of you know my engine decided to loose oil pressure at the nurburgring a last month.
We finally got the car back a few weeks ago and my mate extracted the engine from it for the 4th time to take a look.
Basically the bores look ok but the crank is screwed - spun a main bearing causing damage to the crank journal and the block itself too.
With this being the 3rd time I've had an engine failure I'm not sure whether to carry on (repair the damage and get her running again), wait for a nice bare block or bottom end to pop up or just bin the whole EK9 and get something else...
To get it fixed I guess I'm looking at a replacement crank and some sort of machining repairs to the block (don't really like the idea of a crank regrind), a new set of main bearings (the big ends weirdly enough look great!), new bottom end gasket set, new oil pump and new head gasket...
