They for an eg dude? I believe some of the mounts are same, so just purchase the different mount from avid if you like!

Any updates mate ?

Few pics of the car itself the day after I brought it

Took the steels and hub caps off to trail fit one of the Oz superleggras I had from my previous r5gtt project, very light weight wheel at 4.9kg and also look a bit diffrent from your normal JDM affair.

Then came the task of stripping out all the crap to get it ready to install a cage

The sound deadning was bastard of a job and not one I would like to do again, where as in the past I have removed this stuff quickly the Honda stuff was like twice as thick, need to scrape up a little more but the majority of it is now done. I never did get round to weighing the stuff but the yanks reckon as much as 22lb, I was just glad to get the crap in the bin.

The shell was then taken up to Hauser racing to be fitted with a 8.50 spec cage.

As this shape civic is very lardy to being with it was put on a strict diet, removing all unused brackets, non structal metal and anything which I did not need for racing including the heater matrix and all the pipe work for it, the vents have been removed from the dash and will be replaced with carbon fibre.

Even the tailgate saw some trimming as this weighs too much, maybe look into a carbon one in the future

Thanks for the good comments people, more work on the weight front, this is just from one door with this little lot tipping the scales at 7kg so 14kg to be had from both doors.

photo-54.jpg

If I did not have the door bars from the cage I would not even consider this as with out them the car would have no side impact protection. Going even further with the weight loss the entire loom has been stripped of all the non used stuff

photo-41.jpg

Fair amount of wire going in the bin approx 4kg

photo-40.jpg

Back to the motor, this motor to gearbox support bracket fouls on the new deeper moroso sump pan so had to be notched, should not take to much strength out of it has it looks like it had more cut out of it than I actually have

photo-56.jpg

And then after a bit of trimming

photo-55.jpg

Along with a few other parts got the gloss black treatment

photo-58.jpg

photo-57.jpg

As you can see there is part of the chute mount which is detachable until I start seeing the high trap speeds and then fitted to the back of the car where the rear bumper saw some action with the hole saw to reduce the affects of an air brake
