As you know the rear arches were previously replaced by one of the previous owners. The old arches were cut out on the same area to avoid the car being butchered too much, heres the hidden suprise along with some updates on the progress.

Enjoy!

Thanks mate, the welding work had to be done by a fabricater to get it near perfect.
I know what you mean with having space it wouldnt have been possible if i didnt have anywhere to work on mine.

Nice work there, love all the pics, took me a while to get through all the posts but enjoyed every bit of it.
I dont know what I like more: how spies hecker gloss black came out on suspension components or the fact that you saved oem stickers and glued them back, class. I would love to copy your method on my 4dr :)

A question, you mention new handbrake cables are oem, where did you get them from if you dont mind me asking?
I am converting ej9 to ek9/dc2, but as its a 4dr so I cant use cables from neither of them, have to be 4dr cables for disc model ie vti/sir 4dr. Cant find any and Honda dealerships in Ireland cant get them for me neither, stuck with that. Any suggestions?

My friend with the recovery truck has been pretty busy lately so she'll be back home next week sometime, i was impatient and wanted to check up on the car so i decided to set off early saturday and got there for 6am:rolleyes:

Took some pictures of the old inner sills, surprisingly they were very clean except from the section which was mated with the previous replacement arch. It looks like the metal wasnt treated and caused it to rust but im glad its all been cut out!
