Recieved a type r front lip also, was told it just had some 'scuffs' when infact it is bu**ered, split in 2 places and scratched to hell, i wont mention who i got it from, but cant say im impressed with it

And got the hatch and recess painted, so fitted that and bonded the polycarbonate window in last night, and fitted the spoiler, so the back end is now all done, and looks lovely in my opinion

And its light enough that 1 boot strut lifts it up when you unlock it, so im very happy with it overall.

Was supposed to be doing an event tonight in it, but have been held up waiting for parts so have not progressed as much as id have liked, and keep forgetting that the bare shell was painted only 5 weeks ago lol.

ill take some pics of the doors tomorrow as they are painted also.

very impressive build man! looks like its going to be lots of fun when its done! :nice:

Cheers mate, i hope so, and your old gearbox is more than at home in it :)

Hows your 9? Still sweet? looked very shiney in the last pics i saw of it

sweet updates man, wonder if you can keep it this shiney once you start using it :nerv: lol

Looks amazing. Cant wait for more updates

I was hoping to do the mid summer stages at caerwent on the 26th of june, but due to hold ups im not going to be ready, altho still going to be there as dad has an entry, will see how long his engine lasts this time!!

Other than that i plan on getting to Epynt next year at least once.

I'm afraid I'll have to report this to the admin.... Other users with rally-car projects are getting depressed at their own lack of progress in comparison to yours.

:p

Would have come first in class but a wire came off the killswitch and he ended up with a stage maximum on one stage so he was buggered! All in all a good weekend though, was good fighting against the clock and not having any big problems!

Is that after the Tappin brothers retired? They are stupid quick and great to watch.

Thats good to hear that the missfire is sorted, but a bugger that 1 little thing ruins a superb result, at least you know the pace is there....,whats the next event planned?

Im still waiting on parts and the suspension has 'issues' which are being resolved so im just taking my time and not rushing, it will be done properly that way, but im itching to get out in it!!

Yeh they are crazy fast, luckily they usually break something or have a minor crash at 90% of the rallies I've seen them at :)

Smeatharpe on the 3rd of July is the next one I think.

Car looks like it's almost there though :) I've been fighting paint issues (enamel doesn't love celly) but I've just started painting the engine bay finally WOOOHOO!

Sweet, id love to have a look at it sometime. Im going to try for Smeatharpe even tho its a crap event, but as its just up the road it will be a good test for anything thats not right and bedding brakes in etc, gutted im going to miss Caerwent, but dads doing it so at least ill be up there.

It's going to be a LONG time before it's even close to finished lol.

Yeh, brother isn't keen on Smeatharpe either, it's only because it's so close that we go really, but like you say it's a good testing ground for any potential issues.
