How much oil do you burn?

Am using Castrol magnetic 10 40

My B16B has done 127k miles now and doesnt burn a drop. I do around 100 miles a day and give it plenty vtec and not a drop of oil lost plus I have a 4.9FD so revs are higher for me! Its been a well looked after engine, plenty of regular oil changes, etc

finally i found it , i have run 3700 klm and i have refilled 2.9 litres till now eneos 10 40 but now it seems that i understand the reason , i got 5.1 fd and shorter gears than oem in 2.3.4 so it revolves always high , the oil consumption is always in vtec and not in normal driving !!!!
so yeah thnx for that info it releaved my soul bro !!!!!

Burns about a litre every 5000 mile I'd say. It isn't a bad thing though? Seems to be a healthy strong engine that doesn't put out any smoke whatsoever.

@ Abunai888 - 126k miles on an engine isn't that much. I wouldn't be driving a Honda if I was worried that performance might be affected after 100k. These engines will go on longer than us if treated right.
108k miles on mine now, and I'm confident it'll do double that if treated properly.

What brand and spec of oils are people using?

Motul 8100 5W-40 xcess. Previously i was using Castrol GTX 10W-40 high mileage. Great oil for me as well, but suddenly became hard to find.

I don't think mine burns much, but it does burn.
It's hard for me to tell how much, most of it goes in to the catchtank or drips out of my leaky sump The catch tank is between my PCV valve and inlet so technically I guess that oil would be burnt if the hose was feeding straight back in.

about half a litre every 1000 miles or so, using castrol 0w-30 at the moment, i put the oil consumption down to using thin oil but i also use VTEC a bit.

Depends how a drive but if I be hard with it I'm topping up easy every month. Took it to santapod and went through half in the day lol engine runs great though no leaks just keeping itself safe by being generous with it

this is why it burns me oil !!!! the PCV valve probably died cz i removed the pipe today and no fumes no oil consumption , only costs 40e to replace it than changing stem vavles oil piston rings etc that costs a lot and no result

my b16a engine burn oil around 150ml-200ml on 5000km.....drive to work daily and vtec everyday ...
