Hi guys hows it going?

Well i have defintaley had my ups and downs the last few months. Most of yous will have read through my build thread on my old jordan and the plans i had for her. Unfortunately due to bad timing i had to scrap the build and take the car back to standard and fit the engine back in. I was then toying with the idea should i keep it or should i cut my losses and move on. Finally a few weeks ago her fate was sealed when the vo when in to get repaired and ending costing me  fortunes :( So after dramatically reducing the price on the car the new owners came down to pick her up last week. I was distraught to see her go but i had my eye on something that i new could be turned into a cracking wee track/drag toy :)

So enough about my life story over the last few months and onto my new toy.

I went down with gav(gav-ek9) last night to abroath to pick up my new shell. Many owners in scotland will have seen and knwo of johns(j700ock) silver facelift ek9 that after almost 4 years of ownership and finally coming to a very hard decision of having to break the car in the end. I spoke to john and as i knew the condition of the car and chassis i had to have it :)

I got the car for a cracking price(cheers john) and although i almost had a last minute change of heart i decided to go for it and bring it back on the truck to glasgow for its transformation and rebuild :)

The spec on the shell is as follows:

2000 Vsm facelift ek9
full 5 stud hubs
standard ek9 suspension
bootlid
wing mirros
all tinted glass
full interior except from steering wheel and seats
wiring looms
70k on shell
brand new discs and pads

Aftermarket parts:

Walbaro fuel pump
braided brake lines
clifford alarm system

Heres some pics of her(not much right now but over the next year i hope to transform her) :

N.B Spoon wheels didnt come with it i had to borrow off gav lol

My plans for the build are as follows:

Interior

- strip rear door cards
- full bolt in cage (cusco most likely)
- momo stering wheel with nrg snap on
- Replace dvd/radio facia with blank
- Source 1xbride seat and one mint recaro in black
- get 2X takata harnesses

Exterior

- Willwood full brakes and calipers
- meister r fully adjustable suspension
- exhaust( undecided )
- Alloys ( undecided) something light ;)
- fully underseal the car
- buy rear f/lift lights
- buy front f/lift lights
- buy front and rear bumpers, bonnet and get painted
- buy duckbill carbon spoiler
- Source a low mileage and high spec 98 spec b18c6 with gearbox ancilliries etc

I will update the build as i go as theres a lot i will have missed out as i am still undecided on a lot of parts. I hope to have the exterior built up by summer and the engine in by the end of the year all going well :)

Hope yous like it and enjoy the rest of the build :)

Cheers

dan
