This ^^

Can get 210bhp out of a b16/b18 :(
honda 2ltr turbo should be mega...

id say from the factory they are thinking 210 bhp is a nice figure for a front wheel drive car and they are managing the emissions to so its about overall balance. im sure they tested it, gave it more power and it handled better with this figure... just my opinion

I can't believe they've given a type-r 4 doors. Power seems poor incomparision with VXR's, Audi turbos and megane cups. Hopefully mugen will tune it up a little.

So its Pretty much the end of VTEC as we Know it... Gona have to have a minutes silence when this is released

Its certainly a long way away from the roots of the Type-R heritage. I don't mean with the addition of the turbocharger as they used to excel with turbo F1 engines etc but I meant with the cars getting bulkier, suspension designs swaying away from double wishbone designs and generally putting on a lot of weight.

I'm surprised anyone is shocked by this, the days of high-revving NAs is over, modern emissions laws made sure of that.

I think we're lucky they built a new CTR at all, their new CEO has released a lot of statements detailing his plans for more performance orientated cars such as a new NSX, his predecessor had no such plans and was very focussed on hybrids...

Again modern safety laws means cars are always going to be heavier than they were over 10 years a go when the DC2 and EK9 were about, not to mention the amount of kit that Honda have to ram in there as standard to keep up with the competition.

compared to the standard variant it looks pretty dam cool! :nice:

It looks ok, still not a touch on the EK9 though ;). 210bhp seems around the run of them mill figure for quite a few turbo'd cars in the same range at the moment. Would be a good platform for tuning though. Would of been better if they'd have stuck with their reliable N/A's though, damn emissions laws!
