Spot on about the handling, I was expecting the ep3 to handle really dull and corner like a boat but it handles surprisingly well for a standard car without lsd. Makes the driver work it harder, I think I may change the steering wheel for a smaller one should make a good difference. Apart from that I want to keep the ep3 a standard daily and ek9 a weekend/track toy.
I have been tempted to change the steering wheel but I like how the oem one looks and feels! I miss having a snap off boss so I may buy a nice aftermarket leather wheel at somepoint :)

Perhaps my favorite color for this chassis. Good call on the turn down muffler. I had to purchase extended hangers for mine as it was beginning to burn my rear lip. I want to buy a J's Racing rear muffler for that turn down tip but they are pricey.

Oh, love your car and the parts. I am very, very curious what you think of the DC cams, I am thinking about the 2.2's myself.

Keep it up! :D

So to start off the New Year I gave the car a full clay and wax! It badly needed this!

I then bought a vibra technics solid engine mount to go with the polybushed ones that I still have to collect off a friend!

Last but not least... These arrived :D!!!

Possibly the cleanest set I have ever seen! Had a look around and every set that came up for sale or on eBay had some sort of damage or marks. These are 100% spotless. Over the moon and can't wait to fit them :D!

looking well logan, loved my ep when i had it great all rounders
Cheers mate.

I think it was your EP3 that made me get one. Was a decent car standard, comfy, quick enough and well priced now. Ticks all the boxes.

Hopefully when all the bits are on and mapped it brings it alive :)

Tbh after the jordan it was kinda coming, really the only logical sort of upgrade, alot of good parts to go on and will completely transform the car i rekon.

I need to get my ass in gear with mine, just sat there off the road for winter, didnt want to buy anything untill all the carry on with the bike was out the road as it would have been a waste of cash

Look forward to seeing how it goes when mapped

Agree man it was either an EP3 or DC5 but always had a soft spot for cosmic grey EP3s! Should hopefully be a different car when it's all on. Just need to get tyres for the wheels and decide on suspension to get it sitting nice.

Aye that's understandable, Pope text me the other day. Very good result for you! Bet your pretty happy with it!

Think I'm going to go for RE070 tyres, seem a good all rounder. Aye these ain't no EG/EKs, everything is bit more pricey!

Aye very good lawyer :nice: I need to do the opposite and start being tight and saving again

Thanks mate, I will tell her you said Congratulations :)

About time I updated this!

Got my manifold, reverse megaphone and full 3" system done and on!

Very happy with the system well made and sounds great!!

Next I got some genuine RDX 410 injectors from Honda America.

The car then went into Automek to have all the bits fitted along with a new timing chain and Uprated tensioner, cams fitted, new oil and filter etc...

However when fitting the S90 TB there was a problem getting it sealed to the adaptor plate which is also S90. Here's a picture of the gasket and why it wouldn't seal!

Eventually they got it to seal and it was all good until the TB started to stick :(

Terrible TB and I wouldn't recommend the S90 to anyone had nothing but problems with it! Luckily Andrew at Automek had a spare Toda TB sitting about that he used on his Lotus Time Attack car. He done me a huge favour with the TB supplying and fitting it for a great price. So after all this was done, a basemap was loaded onto the Kpro and it was just a waiting game :D

Also made a purchase inbetween all this :nice:

So the day eventually came when @Vtec6000 was over again and worked his magic on the car. Aonghus said he would be impressed if I made over 250bhp on this Dyno as it is very realistic and low reading compared to any other Dyno about my way by a long shot! The end result...

@Vtec6000 done it!

251.3bhp (211.7atw) - 176ft/lbs

The car is very fast now! The difference is out of this world!

Next on the list is to tidy up the bay and get a LSD as it badly needs one now ! While the box is open a DC5 4th and 5th will be going in if I can source them at a decent price :)

Really good result!! A proper map will have transformed the car so I'm sure your more than happy with it. The drag cartel drop in cams are working well

The exhaust and megaphone etc looks like a good job and it's clearly making power!
