It's the diff mate. Funny story was when mr Whiteman took it for a lap around the paddock, a marshall started chasing him to warn him that the car was seriously damaged and should not be driven!! :lol:
 
It's a pain in the arse but you could look for some software to convert it to wmv or avi and use MM then.
I got the same issues with my Sony camera - I had to get NeroVision to edit stuff for it (but that doesn't do rotation just mirrors the image, which is pretty pointless tbh).

Bloody hell the thing does sound broken though, i'd have done the same
never heard that sound before as never tracked my car or had one with a diff.
