well guys i know a lot of yous have been trying to pick ur brains the last few days as to what car i was getting im not suprized due to the fact i have gone from evo to ek9 to clio sport so what would be my next move...... new car on lease or get another jap car?????
Well the decision was very much made by my dad after having a long ahrd think about what to get i decided the evo scene although was great was far to expensive, however i missed the performance and handling. i had been searching the sites for months a couldnt find a clean car to save myself, however on thursday i found exactly what i had been looking for my dad had imported cars about 6 years ago including evos, subarus and samba buses and after seeing his version 5 type r scooby i fell in love with it it was a 98 reg with only 17000 miles from new and completely original and i promised myself one day i would find one again it was with this that i sent my dads truck almost 450 miles to hampshire to pick her up
However me buying a car wouldnt be right with something going wrong and that it did. I took the cart for its first proper drive on sunday with the girlfriend and on the way home she asked if i was scooshing my windscreen and i had said no. needless to say it was fuel that had literally exploded in my engine baay come through the gaps in the bonnet and also down the front of the car. i had sourced the problem and found the line to the fuel pressure regualtor had perished and cracked however was an easy fix and 20 mins later i was on my way. however 5 mins down the road and smoke starts to appear and car starts to loose power again.....strong fuel smell appears and yet again the same thing happened.so i get my dads truck and toe it back to work. me and my mate (mld22) manage to sort the pipe once and for all (WE THINK) LOL and car was driving fine until later that night and the same symptoms happen again. i dont have any pipe on me know plyers and no screwdriver so i have to wait 2 hours for the aa to come fix and replace the pipe.
thats a pic of my mate martin (mld22 on the forum acting the tit haha)
So the car is currently parked up in my garage for when i get home from work tonight where i am going to replace all the pipes for peace of mind.
So after all this......

apart from that everything else is staying as is after the car drawing quite a bit of attention when i parked it up in glasgow and a few scooby enthusiast cam over to speak to me i had found out a lot more about the car and how it is very very rare and especially in its colour.
sorry for the dealy in photos i hope u like it as much as i do
when the weather clears up i will get some really nice pics of it
thanks for looking
