v-tec abusers turboed B18 'first page updated'

Looks smooooooth on the graph!!!! Nice numbers that tbh!!! Yea Cadwell is an awesome track, i only live 2 miles away so its nice and local :D

thanks.:)) as far as im aware its flywheel power. but when i get the upgrades that sort of figure should be WHP:drool:

Sorry dont mean to be a pure downer or anything, your car looks amazing and Im sure it will be fantastic out on track.

But IIRC you said youv spent more than 7.5k on this build to make less than 300bhp? If that was your goal, I cant see any reason not to use a stock engine, even if it blew up after a while youd still be several thousand pounds better off.

Its been shown many many times a b18c4 can take 300bhp if supporting mods are taken care off and mapping is excellent, so i cant see any reason unless your aiming for like 400bhp plus to have spend such a wack on an all out engine build.

Like i said though, not trying to argue, this car is very cool, just more curious than anything.

Im guessing the guy wanted a bomb proof engine that he could beat on all day and wouldnt have to worry, with scope to raise the power if he wanted. I know from experience with my 540bhp coupe that power wasnt everything, reliability and driving the car how you wanted to drive it without the feeling in the back of your mind 'hope the engines still strong, should i be driving it this hard e.t.c' Yeh a standard block/pistions e.t.c are cool for 300bhp but a built engine isnt even gonna be stessed with a good map for this power.
Build it once propely, saves alot of hassle and ballache in the long run!

Awesome car dude, very very tidy!

well the engine is built for 400bhp, im running it as it is for a while, get used to it and get some miles on the engine, i then need to change exhaust(still standard ek9) as its restricting the set up, i also need to go from mechanical boost( set by the wastegate) to having it set up by the ecu etc etc. but hopefully next year sometime i should be about 350:)

looks amazin mate, can you tell me where you got the purple joins for intake?

Well then, ive finally got it home, and apart from driving another boosted civic, nothing could of prepared me for it. first gear spins the wheels but from second it pulls like a train. to say im chuffed with it is an understatement, been grinning from ear to ear since i first got in it :D

Have you got the boost and fuelling graph?

yes i do have the boost and fuelling graph. you want me to get a pic and get it posted up??? or you after info.

Had a ride in this today, it's one of them cars that you just laugh in when the pedal hits the metal. well thats what I do anyway...
