Whats your thoughts on the Hankook RS2


RS2's are funny tyres, I used to run them in 205/50/15 on oem wheels and on road they were great! Although on track they were a bit greasy tbh, bizarre

Dad is currently running these on his FD2, they are OK, but not amazing

Don't be such a big girl and get some R888, still running them myself and love them :nice:

Strange that, the RS2s have got good reviews over on the ITR-DC2 forum. What do you's think would be better for trackdays in 15", the rs2 or parada spec 2s?

I know Advans and R888s are good but they are very expensive now and dont last. I bought a set of r888s in 15" when they were still £60 an the fronts were nearly done after 1 trackday:nono:
 
The parada's might be worth a try since they are only £35 per tyre which is a bargain if they are any use
 
Since owning my DC2 i have always used RS2's and the only tyre then i can say i have driven on that out perform them are R888's. It was an 00 RX EK9 on drove the 888's on and all i can say is wow! i thought my car handled well! But they wore out so quick on my mates car which is why i wouldnt use them as a road tyre. But the RS2 and R888's seem to have rocketed in price! i may try and cheaper option next time round..
 
ive had paradas on one of my civics and they were rubbish lol but im the same as jdmarron now and use rs2's, try kumho ku31, ive had them before and thought they were quite good

How do you compare the RS2s to the Parada's? Are the Kumo's expensive? I don't want to pay too much for tyres, they just dont last on the track:angry:
 
I have a full set of nearly new kumho ku31 in 205.50.15 what are no use to me anymore :(
I only got to do less than 300 miles on them :| but for that time i thought they were good. Best tyre i have used to date.
There no use to me because i got new hubs for the back of my car and they sit further out so the tyres rub off my arch.
So gutted as i paid over 200 for them and then fitting on top.
Am looking to sell them but cant post yet as i dont have enough posts because i had to create a new account as i forgot my old password lol.
 
Rarerims do 15" RS2s for £55 a corner I think. As for the others, just try local garages or camskill, who seem good for getting most tyres.
 
Got these on the rears now and i really like the tire so far. In dry feel very nice and grippy on a spirited drive. Little road noise and a good looking tire.

I havent yet tracked the tire so cant comment on what they are like once up to proper temperature of repeated hard driving.
 
had these imported few years back before they were ever available in u.k, had been recommended to me by someone in singapore who said they getting rave reviews from users in far east so got friend over here to import me set as he also recommended them

first impression wasnt good BUT these are actually an R rated tyre (was only using on road), anyway went on track and fantastic, they simply have to be heated up to get good level of grip hence why i wasnt too keen with road use at first, overalll vefry good tyre, can drive every day with ok grip, can be taken on track etc, not too great in wet but not many tyres are tbh

i ran another set from camskill once they brought them over (still remember conversation on phone as guy asked why i had decided on them as i was 1st person ever to buy set from them), explained i had already run them and then the fad began and hard to get hold of now due to demand

rs3 has be launched but not in u.k yet and limited sizes only
 
The 888 are an amazing tire but they just do not last! For the money your better of buying another tire if its mainly for road use. Track the 888 is going to be better. But at £100 per tire minimum your going to need deep pockets.
 
id be using a set for track only
is it worth twice the money for r888 over rs2?
