Zens B20 Ek9 Type-Rx

very nice 9 cant wait to see the b20 bad boy in it ;)

Me too. I put the money down nearly 3 months ago to go B20.

It's being done by DNR who have been really busy lately but I've been told I'm next in line after they're done with the track cars they've been working on.

It'll be a b20 vtec with full Spoon exhaust including spoon 4-2-1 manifold. Also got a Skunk2 68mm throttle body and 70mm ported Skunk2 Inlet manifold to go on as well.

Want this done so bad.

Just a lil' update. Got a date for my B20 Build/Conversion and it's just over a week away. :nice:

Had some high compression RS Machine Pistons already fit in the Block and thought I'd show you the last few bits going on next week with the conversion.

To me, I'm going to own the perfect Type-R and just had to have that plate.

The Private Registration that I think will top it all off.

Looks like a very nice build and DNR is the man for b20's! what are your power goals?

Don't really have any although I was told around >>> 210 Bhp should be possible.

I really just want a reliable engine and expect the difference between the B16B
and B20 to be very noticeable.

sweet, you will certainly notice the improved tq thats for sure lol

Well they say good things come to those who wait and I have waited many months to get my B20 Conversion.

Picked the car up on wednesday from DNR and after going out for a road tune with Daz I was good to go.

After driving a CRV for near 2 months it was the handling of my 9' that I instantly found so amazing once again and one of the big reasons I bought the car.

The car is still being run in and has only done 150 miles on it's new engine but already I can feel a huge difference. I have been told to try and keep revs lower than 6k and i tell you this is hard coming from a B16B.

The car pulls like crazy at low revs and Daz said watch out for 6th gear syndrome. Basically in 4th and 5th it feels like the B16B in 3rd so you're alway looking to change up but no need, youre already there in top gear.:D

Got another oil change at 500 miles and then a full dyno tune at approx 1000miles. Estimated power should be approx 210bhp.

Tidyed up my current spec and here are a few pics also. Hope you like. :nice:

Cheers.
Not sure but it will be set to 8200rpm once dyno'd.

Driving it carefully at the moment and not even sure I've engaged VTEC yet as I don't know where the crossover has been set. Power is very smooth and the engine feels real strong. :woot:

Great built my friend!
For 11.7:1 compression what type of gasoline (octane) are you fill in?
