I love builds like this! that jig you made up is crazy! cant wait to see your progress

Cheers for all the comments again, spent most of the day flatting the primmer down so i can get the best spray job i can do really. Painted my engine block today too. Im looking forward to getting started on the engine hopfully next week.

Re profiling my engine valves and polishing.
port/polish the head.
fresh cylinder hone.
knife edging my throttle body as well as polishing it.
cutting my dc2 inlet manifold up and doing abit of custom work on the runners.

As for a turbo im going t3/t4 size not quite sure what make yes as depends what i can pick up at the right price.

Love seeing build from shell up. Going to be good. will be keeping a close eye on this.

this looks to be a epic build in the making.

good luck my man !

What paint were you spraying? I assume it's 2-pack as I think I can see the hardener in the background - that mask is no where near suitable and you can absorb it through your eyes and skin and cause you to become crippled by asthma. I wouldn't want to see you in that situation.

If you do want to spray it safely, I can PM you the details a bloke that sells firefighter BA sets through eBay, the canisters last 30 minutes each and are refilled at £4 by any scooba diving shop. I bought a set with three canisters from him for £75.

Loving the DIY spit though, wish I'd made one for my mini!

Thanks for the offer man, i wasn't spraying 2 pack there, i have a 3M respirator for when i do anyways. :)

Only a small update as i have been really busy on other stuff. I picked up some new parts though, Spoon fixed dampers and springs not sure if im going to keep them/use them though, DC2 cams and some adjustable cam gears. Finished the engine bay off too.
