Right found this while trawling ebay.
i think the colour looks great i don't normally like red but its a nice red,
also the fact its got nice seats and not many miles...

Plus it would leave money for a B18 and i honestly haven't seen a civic in this colour let alone a b18 conversion in a red on e like this, same with the gt3's don't norammly like em but something about this car really gets me.
just thought i'd share with you guys

Honda civic LS / VTI / EK9 low mileage ! on eBay (end time 12-Mar-11 18:51:54 GMT)

It's a nice colour, but expensive for an EK3!

looks great bud, but bit expensive for a ek3 imo, but if she's clean and you've got plans already, go for a good mozee around her, wont hurt

worth every penny :) to get a 1.6 to a 1.8 bhp level it costs £1000`s

looks nice Id pick this up if I didn't buy mine so early :(

looks like a nice car for the money a bit cheaper and its definately worth it mate :)

I think its stunning ! dont know why though, think its the colour :D

Looks geniune mate lovely colour anowl id say go for it mate have a look at her first :)

Have a look on mcrvtec. There alwas a ek vti with a b18c conversion and s80 4.7 gearbox for sale for 2800. Wouldn't be paying that money for an ek3.

Why not just hold out and get the EK9 thats right for you, I've had a couple Civics and an Integra Type-R - I wish I had waited and got a perfect 9.

Its more than a Civic its a bit special plus in time you can B18C the EK9 to make it even better.

I could go out and get a VTi tomorrow but i'm not going to cos its just not what i'm looking for I guess you have to ask yourself what you really want.

And I also seem to recall you saying this.....

To be honest i think i'm leaning towards the B16B. probably got the highest amount of R&D in it compared to the other engines... wnad from what i've read through it seems they are the nest B series engine.... also the fact its based on physics, which i trust, why this engine is so good..

well this thread did exactly what i wanted it to.... Make me understand more about the honda's range of engines.

keep it coming guys thanks for posting its really helpful. :)

That is a tidy little ek bud , not sure what it is about it but its nice. A bit expensive but you might be able to knock him down.

At the end of the day bud its your money that your spending , sometimes wish i had just waited and got a 9 but the 4 never stop me from having a stupid big smile on my face when i drive it

Any word on a delivery price dude ??

I love the colour man, go have a wee look see wats its like!

I would save for a EK9 mate.

Thats a bit pricy and not what i would call low millage either.

i paid 1.2k for my ek3 with rust  and nothing interior done. those seats and rear seats look nice :)

why dont ya pop over to ireland for a cheap ek3 and then b18 it??

youd get one like that in ireland for 1500e probably

For me, I would not buy a civic with a conversion already done. I would spend the money and get it done on my own. To many people doing it on the cheap and not completing it correctly.

Looks to be a nice pick of a civic to start from.

lol i did say that yes, but it does say leaning towards :p
nah i know what ur saying mate its just B18C has more power out of the box and more tourque......
kozy was talking about racing the engines and comparing wear i don't think this realy applies to a road car, i mean yeah it does but not to the degree we were talking about...

and if i'm honest guys, insurance on an EK9 would kill me PLUS i don't wanta White EK9 it would hav to be a black one... and they go for mega bucks the examples i like...

i'm only just 23 lol i got plenty of time for a nice EK9 would rather have a nicely powered EK3 for some time and then get an EK9 when i am very confortable finacially as i know i'll go mad on it i can't afford to buy an EK9 and then drop loads on servicing brakes exhuast like some of you guys do i Envy the people that can do this as it would be a dream but i have to think with my head and not my heart....
this ek3 would be peanuts for the time being to insure and run ( petrol and tax ) .... which again i like the fact for the time beings it looks great but won't cost me the earth.

also i have a B16A2 sitting here so could fit that for a while, also when it comes to going for a new power plant i have the B16A2 and the D series to help pay for what ever i choose.

TAMA666 - you're Spot on mate, not buying a swapped one. for this price range anyway.

looks like a nice car for the money a bit cheaper and its definately worth it mate :)
exactly !!!
If i were to knock the price down to just over 2 grand i think its a steal.

Add the price of parts. Underestimated prices
GT3's £350
Spoon N1 £180
Black recaro's £ 400
coilovers £ 300
EK9 headlights are a good £100

Totaling - £1330

so take away £1330 from £2500 ( current asking price so will hopefully be lower ) and you are left with
£1170... for an EK3 with 67k miles ...
so if he accepts £2300 even its less than a grand.....

lol you guys can't look it and go an ek3 for £2500 too expensive, theres more to it than that lol. otherwise there ouwld be standrad prices for all cars...
i really don't think this is an expensive car guys yeah its not mint but to be honest i want a bit of a project.... and i do have another ek4 siting here for parts..
also i have a b16a2 Sitting in my written of VTI-S that i could put straight in it.

anyways well apprciate you comments guys taken them all on board ( apart from the odd one that makes no sense )
worth every penny :) to get a 1.6 to a 1.8 bhp level it costs £1000`s
lol its a 1.5 and i would be dropping in a 1.8, not tune a 1.6 up to a 1.8 bhp level lol
what power is 1.8 bhp level that the type of thing you see in max power.
"1.6 but goes like a 2.0 litre" lol there are 100's of 1.6's that make more power than 2.0 litres.

lol sorry man i'm taking the P*ss :) sure you get it though.

I'm gonna go have a look saturday hopefully, i like the colour, the stance, wheels, seats, i just like it. :woot:

I think he was just illustrating the b18 conversion is worth every penny in terms of going from d16/b16 engine to the 200bhp of the B18C... not that it costs thousands to tune any 1.6 engine to the power of a 1.8..

I'd say youve answer your own questions there though bud, so just go for what suits you! You obviously know the pro's and con's for the choices you have and thats all you need to make a decision

i think he means stroking a b16b to make it a b18, always a worthwile mod
