Right, I bought this exhaust off a member on here and have a few questions. The B-pipe is in awful condition and will not be going on my car, the seller has been contacted (awaiting reply) as it was advertised as "very good condition", yet there are a number of holes on the welds.
My main question is, it's a Feel's cat-back system which to my knowledge was only ever manufactured in stainless steel or titanium. I was told this was the stainless system, but upon inspection I am unsure.....
Pics of how the system looks usually (elsewhere)
Pics of the system I have been sold:
I tried both marking it and going over it with wire wool, but it seems more like a very silky smooth coating that produces a lot of dust, rather than simply dirt, it is also uniformly a dull grey...underneath is the bare metal, which leads me to think it could be a heat coating, ceramic coating perhaps?
How am I supposed to tell whether this is a heat coating, uniform dirt/dust build up, or something else? And how do I tell whether the system is stainless or mild steel?!
Pictures of the poor condition....... you can clearly see bad oxidisation and holes....
Just want to clarify the seller acted on his word and reimbursed me for the exhaust
