Booking soon for Thursday 15th - Sunday 18th August.

Anyone else going in or around that time?

Yep, Friday 16th to the 20th Tuesday.
You going home on the Sunday?
me and Matt ek9 will be there in our ek9s with two dc2, mx5, and a seat Leon.
Can meet you at the track if you like? We like to sit on the grass near the track because the carpark is always ramo.

I'm heading out to do Spa track day on 30th June then prob on to do a couple of the evening sessions at NUR on 1st or 2nd June, should be really quiet.
Will be more of a sightseeing NUR lap or two as will have my 4 year old son with me :).

i see loads of pictures being taken at the ring with watermarks on them ? do they have automatic picture taking machines or just some people taking pictures all day everyday to make a living ?

if not where are the best places to get pictures from ?

Been meaning to do a write up on taking photos at the Nurburgring. Will hopefully get round to it shortly. When are you away?

There are loads of photographers at the ring and many of them have some pretty impressive equipment. Most of them can be found from this website:

Ringportal » Photography

Charges for them will vary for each photographer.

A decent guide that I had a look at before I went over:

:: northloop.co.uk :: we're not playing games :: nurburgring galleries and more ::

My advice would be, whilst the track is closed, to drive about and look for some good place while you are over there. Ask at the main information desk when you arrive, the people were very helpful and pointed me in the right direction.

Be prepared to do a lot of walking. Take some comfortable shoes :D

Will try and get a write up done soon :nice:

Awesome :) - I remember you saying. I gotta change my belt, tensioner, water pump, pads, brake fluid, then shes all ready. Although I am tempted to bring my cousins ATR Turbo 360/350 as I drove that yesterday and my god it would be rapid around the ring. :s

Our first time so we will grab hints of you guys to go walk and check out some good viewing spots.

might as well share this here too - had an awesome time! closed track events at the ring with full use of the straight are epic!!! managed to break 8 mins, here is a slightly slower lap (8:10 BTG)

E46 m3 battle at Nurburgring, DN9 Aug 2013 - YouTube

Looks awesome. My mate took a stock E46 M3, seems a great car for it, like you say with the EK9 you can make a full english whilst on the straights.

I just got back yesterday first time there an wow amazing, pretty much stock EK9 broke into 8 mins also, I have video of a 8:57, Would love to give to a pro driver who has driven the ring a million times.

I'll upload video and pics later.
