Your worst modifications?

Following on from the favourite mods thread, how about one for your least favourite mods?

What didn't work? What broke? What was just a flat out waste of money?

Some of mine:
Toyo T1Rs - Cheap, but just a bit of a let down.
282 conversion & Yellowstuff brake pads - A waste of money.
Tanabe GF210 springs - Nice drop, shite handling. Definately show springs.
Tanabe Super Medallion catback - Didn't fit properly, looked gash.
Some form of adjustable decat - Failed pretty quickly supporting the ill fitting Tanabe.
1st B16B conversion - **** itself after 4 months.
 
For me its Buddy club camber arms as they could of killed me. Also i wish i went for a different turbo manifold as this one sits the turbo so low it made the oil return a complete NIGHTMARE. Apart from that its a excellent manifold. Thats more my fault though...
 
Carbon fibre boot spoiler, it may have looked good 5yrs ago and on drift cars, but now it just looks like a rather expensive ironing board

Why did you think this was a waste of money? Was looking to do this.. lol
 
I don't do much track work, so I never get them hot enough to need the bigger discs. The 262s with decent pads were fine for what I required.

Plenty of people run them and prefer them, they just weren't for me that's all. As for the pads, they were OK, just not as good as the Ferodos IMO.
 
Fog Lights......... Biggest mistake ever, Just broken lenses and knackard bulbs,

New front end got rid of that problem though! :)
 
Spoon Mirror it absolutely ridiculous, can't see **** all.
 
Lexus lights back in 2004 when I just got the car.

Only had them on car for few months when they where the rage.:blabla:

Still go red whenever I think about them!

THIS! I'll be getting a bumper that hasn't been raped with a hacksaw to take them out now :p
 
A 12v green neon light as my interior light broke. I wedged it behind the rear view mirror, oh so Barry.

Buying 5stud slipstreams for my 4 stud car lol oh well I made a lik profit off them
 
Hm....really need to start using the ban button for some people...

2.5" exhaust on my b16. Made the car alot slower than when it had the 60mm kakimoto on.
 
Removed the clear / white rear lights on my first white ek4 and replaced them with lexus lights (black in my defence) so that was from bad to worse.

Havent got enough spare cash for silly mods so everything that goes on is researched, or most likely not bought....
 
In my car's early days I did once fit these indiglo gauges :D

Even at the time I didn't think they looked particularly nice but after going through all the hassle of getting them in from the states and installing them I think I persevered for a good 6months before selling them on.
 
I dunno if these really count but first of all the purple window tints and also i have a large tacho on the dash, both of these im pleased to say i haven't fitted but i have been guilty of not sorting them out!!!
